PSG was approached by an international marketing firm for assistance in developing a stored value card based consumer rebate for one of their major clients. Objectives of the rebate program were to:
The Solution
All goals were met by use of a custom, single-load stock PIN-based gift card supplemented by a customized card carrier. The stock plastic card bearing the product logo kept the original purchase top-of-mind, and the overprinted card denomination made card use easy for the consumer.
The Result
Program volume exceeded the original projection by almost eight times – supporting the theory that consumer response to card-based rebate offers is not just positive, it is enthusiastic! The client has now scheduled stored value card based consumer rebate programs for a second product as well as for the holiday buying season.
