
The Situation
PSG was approached by a manufacturer of specialty window treatment products to develop an incentive program targeted toward a specific, high-volume producing segment of their dealer base with the goal of growing the sales of specific products in their product catalog. The incentive needed to offer simple rules, valuable rewards, and have the flexibility to reward participants with “prizes” such as marketing materials, in-store displays and van-wraps.
The Solution
To ensure the maximum return on the program expense, the sponsor company chose to manage the point redemption by making points available for redemption only after a specified promotion end date. This strategy created an effective long-term incentive that could be monitored by both the sponsor and participants through a customized website using PSG’s RewardTrax platform.
Each month, sales data is uploaded to RewardTrax and new participant point values are calculated and displayed accordingly. Participants may login to the website at any time to view available points and utilize the “Wish List” tool to store information on merchandise they may wish to redeem points for later – the Wish List progress monitor graphically displays their progress towards achievement of the goal, thereby driving participants to achieve the rewards they choose.
The Result
The program is designed to run indefinitely and allows participants to carry over points from one promotion period to the next; giving them the maximum opportunity to earn the rewards they want!
